Holiday Reminder Regarding Pets

November 26, 2008 at 10:06 am Leave a comment

I know this time of year, we’re all very busy, so I’m planning on keeping the blog posts short and relevant.  Be careful what you share with your dogs and cats from the holiday table. Whole, fresh ‘people’ foods are a great addition to the bowl, but a big piece of ham or turkey skin or any high-fat treat is not.  Why? Pancreatitis.  It’s painful and sometimes life-threatening.  You don’t  have to read this entire article on pancreatitis, but please at least skim it so that you will know why this is a serious condition, how to avoid it, and what signs to look for.
